Studying in Stuttgart - for students of our partner universities in the USA
For many years, there has been a close relation between the Institute of Materials Testing, Materials Science and Strength of Materials (IMWF), the University of Stuttgart, the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) and the National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC) and the George Washington University (GWU).
Within this framework, German students of the University of Stuttgart had the opportunity to study abroad at the GWU for a year. An expansion of the program to have a reciprocal bilateral exchange has since been a key aspect of the cooperation. Thus, students from the GWU also have the opportunity to study at the University of Stuttgart for a year.
Also, there will be the possibility for students from the George Mason University (GMU), especially from the College of Science (CoS) and the Center for Collision Safety and Analyisis (CCSA), to study at the University of Stuttgart for up to a year.
The purpose of this stay is for the American students to be able to integrate their study abroad into the study at their home-university. Students get the option to register for the master programs at the University of Stuttgart. They need, however, to prove that they have at least the knowledge of a bachelor’s degree.
Current international study programs with a degree as Master of Science can be found on the homepage of the University of Stuttgart. The International Office has invaluable information for INCOMINGs.
